God sends help.

1 CHRONICLES 13 //

In our previous study we talked about how the Lord always sends us help when we are a man or woman after God’s own heart. In this chapter we see what happens when we as man, try & help or assist God. Ha.

For context, King David was bringing back the Ark of God, which literally holds the divine presence of God himself, back to their country Israel. There was a massive celebration and they were all dancing and celebrating in the streets.

However, when they came to the threshing floor, Uzzah reached out his hand to steady the Ark, because the oxen stumbled. He was tryna help out God right?

Well, the threshing floor is actually where you separate the grain from the chaff. So when we think we’re doing God a favour, give it a bit of time, he will sieve you out.

The next verse says that the Lord’s anger burned against Uzzah, and he struck him down because he had put his hand on the ark. So he died there before God.

Child of God, we cannot help the Lord. As much as we think we’re doing things in service for the Lord, it’s actually a massive privilege, honour and blessing, where he is actually helping and restoring us. Ha. Everything we do for God, is actually for us.

And so, remembering that wherever He has called you, wherever He has positioned you, it is an honour.
